There was an earlier comment from Erik Gronning, questioning the validity of the signature. Erik said he thinks the jury is still out. I thought that someone said they'd seen the chest before Lockwood published it without the signature. All of this was over 100 years ago now. Maybe time to re-visit.
Ann Bolyn was buried in an arrow chest, possibly because nobody thought to have a coffin on hand. I had idly wondered when "plyers" arrived on the scene as a distinct member of the tool group Squeezer Things. Evidently by the 17th century.
but you didn't mention the photographer who recorded the shots you and Pret & Paula in the two chairs, and you are forgiven. The other thing I'm thinking is that if rigor sets in then carrying the person out in the chair the person died on makes sense. And the carving on the chest you made is supremo. Nice work.
I've never seen it, of course. My understanding is someone went on record as having seen the chest earlier w/o the inscription. So maybe I should have put all the caveats in the text...
OK, I have to ask how was the chest with the Disbrowe writing determined to be a forgery? I loved the photos of Pret, Paula, and you!!

The Disbrowe inscription needs more forensic analysis. I am not convinced either way.

The new ambulance things are folding chairs so they can get people out of tight situations, then they unfold it into the usual ambulance bed.
