Nicholas - we use one as a desk chair in our kitchen, where it doubles as an extra seat at the table when need be. Works fine for those applications. I use one in the shop from time to time when doing something like spoon carving - no arms is helpful there.

Beautiful chair! Very different from the normal fare which is part of its charm. Wish I could see it in person but am looking forward to the video.
Beautiful chair, the carving really makes it special. Have a few questions on the build so will look forward to the video.
I wonder if the wood parts have enough flex and give to keep self-destruction from being a problem?
