This is such a pleasing read. Peter speaking of chasing, I've chased your story of taking spoons to the playground, or at outdoor practices and games on the weekend, and gotten away with no controversy. I think my kids think about knives and cutting tools in a good way as a result (probably more important is the creativity!). Thanks for the constant inspiration.
Thank you for the video with Elia on spoon carving. Drew Langsner’s new Country Woodcraft got me interested (because you only need a few tools), but that video got me to put steel to wood. Thanks.
I always enjoy your spoon posts, (all your posts actually) I look forward to seeing the final spoons.
Your decorative carvings on spoons are always impressive. I would love to see a post sometime on the decorative carving process for your spoons, I know it’s dicey to do so would be hard to get shots to go with the words
I’ll give it a shot. It is a bit precarious - so hard to show people not in-person. One false move and you’re off to get stitches. That’s why I haven’t covered it elsewhere.

This day & age I’m a little tenuous bringing out knives in public. But if more of us did it, people would see they’re just part of a creative process.
Peter, it is always a pleasure reading your notes. You are a craftsman with words as well as wood!

Ahh, we all miss Roy's show and his school. I just miss Roy! Haven't spent any time with him in ages...
