I’ve been working off and on in the shop lately, a few half days, then today most of the (shortened) day. I’ve begun making my version of a 1680s/90s piece that so far we call a “dressing” box. I plan on making a video of building one of these and this is the dry run. I’ve been making notes as I go - I’ve already learned a lot.
Background first - there’s 2 of these from the same shop that built the cupboards I’ve made in the past 2 1/2 years. One at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston - a hinged lid above a shallow box-section. Then four drawers below.
