Green woodworking is one of those terms that means different things to different people. I don’t know what it means to me these days, but because my projects start by splitting open a log I tend to use it as a partial description of what I do. Very misleading though. In most every project I make, the hardwood starts out as a sopping wet log, but by the time I’m carving patterns, chopping joinery, boring mortises and more - the wood has become air-dried or on its way to air-dried.
