Above is a finished pillar from the first time I built this cupboard. Major diameter is 4 1/2”, length about 15” plus the tenons. I make them in stages, it’s hard to get this large chunk of green wood to dry without cracking. Here’s two roughed-out, but the one on the right cracked - (not surprising) - it could go in the cupboard, but it would bother me - so I started a new one yesterday.
