The decoration on the side panels of the cupboard’s upper case is pretty busy. (detail of the original above showing 2 of 3 arches across the panel) So many pieces to these panels - the arches across the top, the moldings running down the sides and across the bottom - and related moldings running between the middle arch and its right & left neighbors. Then on top of all that, there’s some applied turnings, but I’m not even thinking about them yet. Today it was more work on the arches and forming the keystones (top of the arch) and imposts (under each arch segment).
I started by ripping and planing the arch blanks to 3/8” thickness. Then cut two of them into quarters.
